You could say I’m a self taught artist, having no formal art qualifications (unless you count GCSE but that was hundreds of years ago!) I prefer to call myself a spiritual artist.

In 2004, a couple of years after stepping onto my spiritual path, I became inspired to paint. I bought a small selection of paints, brushes and canvases and began to paint feelings I experienced and images I saw in my mind. Quite often I had strong urges to paint without having any idea of the end result! I started with a blank canvas in front of me and just allowed images to come through and develop.

“Unconditional Love” was born this way and it wasn’t until I’d finished painting that I noticed a second face had appeared in the clouds looking down from the top.

Sometimes I strongly see part of an image that I need to paint. On these occasions I trust I will be spiritually given the rest once I have made a start. This is what happened when I painted “The Gift”. I kept seeing a pair of hands holding a bright ball of light, but I could see nothing else. After a few weeks I realised I would actually have to start work and get those hands onto canvas! It was only after I’d finished the hands the rest of the painting developed.

Recently I have been inspired to paint healing drums for use with shamanic work, healing and at drumming circles.

I believe my paintings have healing qualities and many people have said they connect with them on a deeper level, evoking emotion or a remembering. My work has been bought to meditate upon, and for hanging in healing rooms and centres. As a healer this brings me great joy and is a truly humbling experience to be able to share my gift in this way.

I hope you enjoy my work. I wish you great joy and inner peace.

Blessings
